In a movie in black and white,
Smiling upon the ghost of the yellow tea rose,
Is a memory of a golden
Spirit lost far out in a sea,
Memory of a sudden explosion
Of orange flavor in the mouth,
Of rabbits following a girl on TV.
A memory,
Smiling upon the ghost,
Of the yellow tea rose,
Benevolently.

Ghost of the Yellow Tea Rose
June 30, 2008
June Nonsense and Other Trivialities.
June 28, 2008Water dripping from the beaks
Of birds that woke at dawn,
To a hot summer day.
Prepare for life and prepare for death,
Prepare for the burning coals ahead.
Moon shining upon layers,
Of grass in empty space.

The Last Blackout
June 24, 2008The sky is clearer,
In the blackout, she said,
And then kissed
His lips, which
Would be the bloodiest
Shade of purple in a few days
And colder than
The ice of north,
Colder than the
General’s heart.

A silent grave [WIP]
June 3, 2008A silent grave, my love
A lifeless, desolate piece of land,
Our perpetual death.
Sow a seed by the headstone,
Plant a seed on the mound of dirt,
Plant a rose, black and pink,
Plant a flower, soft as silk,
Plant a life that will bloom today
A memory that will always stay,
Is there no such flower my love?
Whose scent will fill the air of graveyard,
Whose fragrance will touch,
The rotting bones beneath
Unfleshed corpse with starving worms,
Give it life again.
Is there no such flower?
Attracting life,
Butterflies and bees,
Birds and worms,
And a soul, that lives under the shade,
Of a flower,
Forever.
