When you were not mine.

March 29, 2008

When the most ancient star did not shine,
I loved you when you were not mine,
I loved you when the oceans
Had not learned to roar,
When eagles had not learned to soar,
When dreams were yet undreamt,
When hearts were still pure,
When swords had not tasted blood,
Lips had not tasted wine,
I loved you when you were not mine.
I loved you when time
Had not learned to flow,
When no arrow had touched a bow,
When earth had not known,
Rain or snow.
Before the first smile, the first word,
The first song, the first line,
I loved you before you were mine.

You.

March 17, 2008

A nightmarish reality, a fantasy
Of bodies bathed in blood
Pointing fingers, scratching nails
Heavenly bliss in golden jails,
Scars and marks of sins in time,
The nakedness of your innocent crime,
The dishonors of human flesh,
Rotten and stripped, rotten and fresh.
Don’t you know what you mean to me,
You are this nightmare that I see,
You are my dream, my reality
Immersed in guilt, inundated with shame,
You are my joy, you are my pain,
The knife that cuts, the blood that bleeds,
Eyes that cry, the heart that needs
Come, but don’t come to me,
Make me follow, make me want,
Laugh from a distance, and taunt,
Because you are my prize,
My punishment.
Forty thousand days ago
You were the fire, you were the snow,
That made me burn, that made me shiver
I bled in my bed, every time,
He touched you and you quivered,
Unknown to me and unknown to you,
We suffered alone, through and through
Lost we were and lost we are,
Alone then, now together,
You were my sun, you are my star.
